Ok so the company I work for is currently porting a website from Wordpress to Joomla! The content is not my responsibility just the design. The issue is that I am trying to basically take their theme (it is designed only for Wordpress) and make a copy of it with minor changes for Joomla! I am using Photoshop and Dreamweaver as part of CS3 suite (I prefer not to update to CS5). I’m wondering what the process for this is, as I have only ever designed web pages from scratch and I am pretty much trying to get an exact copy. Should I chop their site up in Photoshop and then create a theme in Dreamweaver? I am really struggling with this issue any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

it is going to be a hassle. I did it once and it took me real long. The theme of the two platform is totally different.

what you can do is look for a jmoola theme that is similar to your wordpress them and modify it. It will save you a lot of time than building from scratch.

Find plugin that provide similar function. if you are not familiar with theme of both platform, better pay someone to do it. Not saying it can’t be done, but will take a long long time
